Running Backs
Kenneth Walker (SEA) - Facing a Steelers defense that just allowed Breece Hall to run for over 100 yards, you can expect Kenneth Walker to have a field day.
Javonte Williams (DAL) - Coming off of a great performance on opening night, look for Williams to continue playing strong against the New York Giants. He has clearly established himself as the lead back and the goal line back. Despite having debatably the best front four in the NFL, the Giants struggled to stop the run against the Commanders.
Josh Jacobs (GB) - Jacobs faces a Commanders defense that just played surprisingly well against the Giants on Sunday. After beefing up their front four in the offseason, the Commanders may have what it takes to stop a good rushing attack, like the Packers
Wide Receivers
Justin Jefferson (MIN) - Obviously Jettas is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL but this isn’t as much about him. In the second half of their week one game, QB JJ Mccarthy gained confidence throwing the ball and that should continue to grow. When you add in that he is going against the Falcons who, last week, let a rookie Emeka Ebuka score twice, yeah I like Jefferson’s match up.
Tyreek Hill (MIA) - After a rough week one, look for Hill and the Dolphins to bounce back against a Patriots secondary that is not the strongest.
Ladd McConkey (LAC) - After a game where Herbert looked great, I am high on the Chargers offense. They spread the ball around a lot last week versus the Chiefs but I expect Ladd to remain as the number one target and to thrive against the Raiders.
Malik Nabers (NYG) - After last week’s game, it is clear that teams are going to double the stud wide receiver week in and week out. Nabers is going to have Diggs and Bland on him while Russ struggled last week. Expect that to continue and there to be high focus on Nabers this week in a rivalry game.
Quarterbacks
Drake Maye (NE) - After watching a Dolphins defense that could not stop anything on Sunday, I am excited about Maye’s opportunity. Daniel Jones dominated the Dolphins and Maye has a similar skill set to Jones, but better in almost every area.
Jalen Hurts (PHI) - The Chiefs defense did not show up against the Chargers and I believe they are going to struggle against the reigning champs, again. Hurts tends to show up in big games and this is one of those games.
Cam Ward (TEN) - Ward looked solid in his first NFL start but the surrounding team did not. Going against the Rams is going to be a challenge for Ward so he may struggle to get things going again.
