Quarterbacks

Pop

Caleb Williams (CHI) - After getting blown out in Detroit, I expect Ben Johnson to have Caleb Williams dialed in. The Bears entered this season with a lot of hype, and I do not see them going 0-3. Williams will face a Cowboys defense that just allowed Russell Wilson to throw for a career-high 450 yards and suffered some injuries on Sunday. Watch for Caleb to POP.

Aaron Rodgers (PIT) - Rodgers has a favorable matchup against the Patriots, who have allowed 677 passing yards and 3 TDs through the first two weeks. The QBs they have faced have a combined 15 rushing yards on two attempts. This fits Rodgers’ play style well, especially since he has thrown 30+ passes in both games this year. Watch for Rodgers to POP.

Flop

Kyler Murray (ARI) - After a strong first two weeks, Kyler Murray faces a real test against a tough 49ers defense. His impressive start may be partly due to the Cardinals opening the season against weak Saints and Panthers teams. While San Francisco’s defense is daunting, this matchup is as much about Murray finally facing elite competition. Don’t be surprised if you see Kyler FLOP.

Running Backs

Pop

Bucky Irving (TB) - With a short week after the Monday night win in Houston and Baker Mayfield getting bruised up towards the end of the game, I would expect the Buccaneers to rely heavily on their young stud running back. The Jets also just saw James Cook run all over them. Watch for Bucky to POP.

Alvin Kamara (NO) - Kamara faces a Seahawks defense that is being rushed against 25 times a game on average by running backs alone. They allowed 69 yards to Steelers RBs who are no where close to Kamara’s level. Kamara is coming off of a 21 rush, 99 yard performance in a game his team almost won, facing a good defense. I would expect Kellen Moore to continue rushing Kamara. He also had 6 catches last week which has always been one of Kamara’s best attributes. Watch for Kamara to POP.

Flop

Chubba Hubbard (CAR) - The Flacons rush defense has been on point through their first two games this season allowing exactly 53 yards to running backs in both games. Even though Hubbard has a TD in both games this season, they were against worse defenses. Guess how many rushing touchdowns the Falcons have given up to running backs so far this season? 0 TD. Don’t be surprised if you see Chubba FLOP.

Wide Receivers

Pop

Terry McLaurin (WAS) - After signing a big, new deal in the offseason, Terry has had a slow start to the season. Eventually Terry is going to turn things around and I predict it is going to be this week. Despite the injury concerns for Jayden Daniels, McLaurin has played well with backup QB Marcus Mariota. In a matchup against the Raiders who are letting wide receivers run all over them, I think Terry is primed for a big game. Watch for Terry to POP.

Nico Collins (HOU) - Collins has had an underwhelming start to the season and now the Texans sit at 0-2. This is a get right game for Collins and the Texans as they face the Jaguars who just let Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins go absolutely nuts. I would expect CJ Stroud to lean on his veteran pass catcher to go get themselves a win this week. Watch for Collins to POP.

Flop

Drake London (ATL) - Despite being 0-2, the Panthers defensive backs have played extremely well, and especially against WR1s. Week 1 the team held Brian Thomas Jr. to only 1 catch for 11 yards! Week 2, they held Marvin Harrison to 2 catches for 27 yards. London also comes off of a week where he himself only had 3 catches. Don’t be surprised if you see London FLOP.
