59 years ago, Frank Robinson became the first player in MLB history to win an MVP in both the AL and NL (then came Shohei). In 1961, Robinson won the NL MVP while playing for the Cincinnati Reds, who went on to lose the World Series to the Yankees that season.
After 10 years in Cincinnati, Robinson was traded to the Baltimore Orioles, and in his first year with the team (1966), he had a Triple Crown season (49 HRs, 122 RBIs, .316 BA) and took home the AL MVP in a landslide, unanimous vote. In that season, he also led the Orioles to their first ALCS win and then helped sweep the Dodgers in the World Series. Robinson and the Orioles went on to another World Series win in 1970, making him one of the best O’s of all time despite only playing for them after the age of 30.

In what may be the most boring game of all time, the Giants/Lions game featured 77 run plays, 16 total pass attempts, 214 total yards, 4 missed field goals, and no overtime. On top of that, the Giants only crossed midfield once. As the story goes, both teams were riddled with absences due to WW2.
