Welcome to week 2 of the RQI - the only QB index that blends what the fans care about in the box-score with fan-wanted VIBEZ. TDs, yards, volume/accuracy, turnovers, and winning all matter; excuses and running don’t. If this is your first time here, make sure to read Welcome to the RQI! for the full backstory and how the RQI works.
7 new QBs are welcomed, It was a bad week to be a sophomore QB, and Giants fans buckle up and enjoy because unfortunately you are going to LOVE this week’s RQI.
Week 2 Rankings!
Jared Goff (DET) - 81.1 - A founding member of the RQI! 2024 RQI Champ! Goff makes his way back to the top spot! 334 passing yards. 92% completion. 0 turnovers. FIVE touchdowns. And ties Peyton Manning for the fourth most starts for a QB where their team scored 50+. Jared Goff is the ultimate RQI guy. Doing it against Ben Johnson made it even better. This game was VIBEZ.
Russell Wilson (NYG) - 75.6 - Despite the jokes and garbage I give Giant QBs, I’d be remiss if I did not give ‘Mr. Unlimited‘ his flowers. A CAREER HIGH 450 Passing, 3 TDs and 75% completion on 41 attempts. If it wasn’t for the late INT and loss, Russ would have been #1 for sure. I have to tell you Giant fans, I think you really got one with this Russ guy! Can’t wait to see how he follows this up against the 0-2 Chiefs.
Mac Jones (SF) - 74.8 - Welcome to the RQI! And what a debut it was for this week’s number three QB, MAC JONES! Was he lucky that he got to play the Saints? Maybe. But stepping in for Purdy and throwing for 279, 3TD and no turnovers is no joke.
Dak Prescott (DAL) - 73.4 - The late game heroics bring Dak into the #4 spot. What a game! He beat’s the Giants thanks to the best fantasy football player on the planet, Brandon Aubrey. In all seriousness, 361 yards, 2 TD and a GREAT OT win earns Dak this spot.
Bryce Young (CAR) - 71.9 - Bryce Young somehow almost brought his team back from down 27-3. If the Cardinals had scored one more point, it would have been game over for them. Over 300 and 3 TDs? Get this man a top 10 spot! 1 INT and a loss hurt Young but overall a good outing and comeback attempt
Lamar Jackson (BAL) - 70.7 - LAMAR! 225 and 4 TDs will for sure get you a top 10 spot. See Ravens fans… he doesn’t need rushing stats to thrive in the RQI! This guy is just so good.
Baker Mayfield (TB) - 68.6 - Back to Back Game winning drives, bring the VIBEZ. Baker put his body on the line to get into the RQI top 10 and he deserves is. 2 TDs, 215 yards and another win!
Spencer Rattler (NO) - 66.4 - Spencer Rattler have yourself a day! Welcome to the top 10 of the RQI. Despite the loss, Rattler kept his team in the game, threw for 200 yards, 3 TDs and didn’t turn the ball over. He gave South Carolina fans a QB to be happy about after Saturday.
Matthew Stafford (LAR) - 64.9 - Two yards shy of 300, 2 TDs and a dominant road win. Stafford decided to beat up on the first overall pick from 15 drafts after him in order to secure the win. Respect. After the offseason injury worries, Stafford has really showed up through two weeks.
Jordan Love (GB) - 64.2 - ☹. As a Commanders fan, this was hard to watch. Just a dominant, clean win from Love. Just shy of 300 and add on 2 TD. One spot over Jayden too. ☹. ☹.
Jayden Daniels (WSH) - 62.8 - 200 yards and 2 TD. Probably the worst game I have ever seen him play besides his first start. You could tell he was hurt but not an excuse. We have to be better Jayden! I still love you though.
Trevor Lawrence (JAX) - 62.6 - This is another guy I am confused about. 2 INT really hurt him and a loss to a Jake Browning hurt him even more. Even with 3 TD, and 270, he finds himself outside the top 10.
Tua Tagovailoa (MIA) - 62.5 - A founding member of the RQI! 2023 RQI Champ! If you throw it back to prime Tua, this is the most Tua game of all time. Tua won an RQI championship throwing for 300 and 2 TD a game. This week, he does it again. But lost.
Justin Herbert (LAC) - 62.0 - A clean solid game from Herbert earns him a top half spot. Little under 250 passing yard, 2 TD, 0 INT and a division rival win.
Daniel Jones (IND) - 61.6 - A founding member of the RQI! INDIANA JONES AGAIN! No punts through 2 weeks? I said it last week and I will say it again. CBPOTY. Giants get no jokes this week. They have Russ!
Sam Darnold (SEA) - 61.4 - Almost 300 passing and 2 TD is a good start for Darnold but the couple of INT held him back. Better luck next week Sam. Great first win as a Seahawk!
Bo Nix (DEN) - 60.8 - What a bad beat. A win would have done Bo wonders in the RQI but instead, he sits in the middle of the pack. 3 TD is great for the sophomore but he lacked on the yardage and threw a pick.
Drake Maye (NE) - 59.6 - 230 Passing, 2 TD, 0 turnovers and a big division W. Nothing else to say except solid.
Jake Browning (CIN) - 56.4 - Welcome to the RQI! Game winning drives, bring the VIBEZ. 3 INT is bad. Otherwise he would have been up there.
Caleb Williams (CHI) - 54.1 - What is this guys deal? Is he the greatest prospect since Andrew Luck or is he a bust? Barely getting 200 yards, 2 TDs a INT and a MASSIVE loss for his new head coach Ben Johnson in a revenge game.
Joe Flacco (CLE) - 50.2 - This was always going to be tough for Joe. Go into Baltimore on the day the Ravens celebrate their 30th anniversary. Not to mention the Baltimore Ravens franchise was taken from Cleveland! Good try Joe.
Kyler Murray (ARI) - 49.0 - Kyler what are we going to do with you? 220 passing, 1 TD and an INT. Almost losing to the Panthers. Not able to score in 1.5 quarters. Give MHJ the ball!
Cam Ward (TEN) - 45.7 - Rookie. If you read the Off Script, ‘Wednesday Watchlist’ (you should), you would have known to stay away from Cam Ward. Told you. It was a good defense and he is young. BUT DID YOU SEE THAT TD THROW?!?! VIBEZ.
23. C.J. Stroud (HOU) - 43.4 - Starting 0-2 is not VIBEZ and only completing 13 passes in the game is not good.
Aaron Rodgers (PIT) - 43.3 - One week wonder. Sorry Steelers fans but we all know this was the Rodgers you all thought you were getting and now you got him. 18 completions, 200 yards 1 TD, 2 INT. If he played the Jets 17 games he’d be MVP.
Patrick Mahomes (KC) - 41.1 - Under 200 yards and a TD. The INT was bad and off Kelce’s hands so we cut him some slack. First 0-2 start since sophomore year high school is not VIBEZ. A matchup against the Giants next week should get him right.
Josh Allen (BUF) - 37.8 - 2025 1x Weekly leader. It is hard to have a good week in the RQI when your RB1 goes for 132 and 2 TD. Josh Allen did not need to do anything and they dismantled the Jets. Had a bloody nose but came back in. VIBEZ
Geno Smith (LV) - 36.2 - A bad outing for Geno. 0 TD and 3 INT is never going to get you far in the RQI. Especially when you lose and only throw for 180. The high volume passing is the only thing that kept his RQI hopes alive.
Michael Penix Jr. (ATL) - 34.2 Lefty. Poor QB play in SNF. 135 passing and 0 TD. At least 0 INT. Bad though.
Jalen Hurts (PHI) - 32.7 - Did he forget how to throw? 100 yards passing, 0 TD. Get this performance out of the RQI! If it wasn’t for the win…
Joe Burrow (CIN) - 29.2 - Poor Joe. Turf toe has me thinking about 2014 AJ Green. Poor Joe.
J.J. McCarthy (MIN) - 24.0 - It is pretty simple dude. Just get it to Jettas. I guess he was hurt so we can give him a break. But to follow up that second half of week 1 with that performance is bad. How bad? 50% completion, 150 yards and 2 INT 0 team TDs and a loss bad. I know there are a lot of Michigan fans so I am sorry but it’s the sad reality. I do have confidence he will come back better.
Tyrod Taylor (NYJ) - 22.1 - Welcome to the RQI! There was not much he could do but he still takes the top spot for the Jets!
Dillon Gabriel (CLE) - 14.9 - Welcome to the RQI! Lefty. Rookie. 3/3 in his first regular season action is legit. Needs more playing time to see what he’s got.
Mitchell Trubisky (BUF) - 13.6 - Welcome to the RQI! 1 pass for 32 yards. Good work Mitch
Justin Fields (NYJ) - 11.7 - Injured but before that, bad.
Tyson Bagent (CHI) - 9.0 - Welcome to the RQI! With only three attempts there wasn’t much he could accomplish. I do like this guy though, he has heart.
Mason Rudolph (PIT) - 7.5 - Welcome to the RQI! 12 yards passing.
