Welcome to Week 1 of the RQI! If this is your first RQI, make sure to read the Welcome to the RQI! post for the full backstory and rules. (You should totally read it. I’ve worked hard on perfecting VIBEZ math.)

The RQI is about the things that matter to us fans like winning, pure passing with a dash of VIBEZ a.k.a. is your QB him? Winning matters, Touchdowns matter, yards matter, accuracy matters, turnovers should’t happen, and yes, occasional trick play throws count. A 100 means “best game in NFL history” territory. a 0 is probably the worst game a QB could ever have and 50 is a typical NFL QB game. Most QBs week to week will live in the 40–70 neighborhood.

Now buckle up. Week 1 is here. The takes are warm, the math is cold, and the Giants are probably already on thin ice. Now let’s get into it and rank some passers.

  1. Josh Allen (BUF) - 77.1 - A great passing game for the reigning MVP as he takes the top spot week 1. IF THIS PERFORMANCE WASN’T VIBEZ, I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS… 394 yards passing is great and 2 touchdowns is solid but that win got him the top spot.

  2. Justin Herbert (LAC) - 74.9 - 318 yards, 3 touchdowns, a win against Mahomes under the Friday night lights?? Okay, yep, this may be the year of Herbert.

  3. Aaron Rodgers (PIT) - 73.9 - He’s back! It only took three years for Jet’s fans to see vintage Aaron Rodgers. 4 touchdowns for Rodgers and a huge win in a revenge game get’s him the #3 spot.

  4. Brock Purdy (SF) - 64.5 - Game winning drives, bring the VIBEZ.

  5. Baker Mayfield (TB) - 61.1 - Game winning drives, bring the VIBEZ.

  6. Geno Smith (LV) - 60.1 - Old face, new place for Geno as he get’s his first win as a Raider behind his 350+ passing, 1 touchdown but an unfortunate interception

  7. Kyler Murray (ARI) - 58.7 - Even though Kyler was under 200 yards on the day, he got a big win on the road, threw for 2 touchdowns, stayed turnover free and had a 72% completion rate

  8. Michael Penix Jr. (ATL) - 58.5 - Almost 300 yards passing and a touchdown in his first week one start. Unfortunately, the game winning drive didn’t end the way he would hope and his ranking takes a hit all because of Younghoe Koo.

  9. Drake Maye (NE) - 57.7 - Despite the loss, a high volume and yardage performance from Maye with going 287 passing sneaks him into the top 10.

  10. Daniel Jones (IND) - 57.7 - A founding member of the RQI! Indiana Jones is here! What is better, that nickname or all of the excuses the Giants fan’s are telling themselves right now? 2025 Comeback Player of the Year: Danny Dimes! Bookmark it!

  11. Matthew Stafford (LAR) - 56.6 - The 10th QB to hit 60k career passing yards plus a good win after being hurt all of camp.

  12. Jared Goff (DET) - 56.4 - A founding member of the RQI! Our reigning RQI champ didn’t have his best outing but almost 80% completion percentage and a sick TD to Isaac Teslaa was enough to get him in the top half of QBs.

  13. Patrick Mahomes (KC) - 56.1 - Mahomes has set the expectations high for himself and his stat line wasn’t going to cut it. Only 1 touchdown and a loss. Maybe get Kelce involved too, I have him on my fantasy team.

  14. Joe Flacco (CLE) - 54.8 - The 40 year old can still sling it! Almost 300 yards and almost a win.

  15. Jayden Daniels (WSH) - 54.6 - I love Jayden Daniels. However, he did not play his best game and at this point, we have to expect more. 233 passing and a touchdown gets him in the top 50%.

  16. Jordan Love (GB) - 54.2 - A dominant win for the Pack, but a low volume game for Love. Sometimes a dominant win hurts you in the RQI.

  17. Caleb Williams (CHI) - 53.5 - Caleb started off HOT going 10/10 and then it all went down hill from there. Jayden Daniels stays better.

  18. Spencer Rattler (NO) - 50.6 - A good attempt at a game winning drive. That was about all we saw from Rattler.

  19. Lamar Jackson (BAL) - 50.5 - Only 14 completed passes, 200 yards and a horrible end to the game puts Lamar at the perfect mid-point of the RQI. Remember, rushing doesn’t matter!

  20. Bo Nix (DEN) - 50.4 - The win and high usage saved Bo as his 3 turnover performance was sending him down a rocky road early. The Titans have a good defense so he catches somewhat of a break.

  21. Trevor Lawrence (JAX) - 47.4 - This guy confuses me. Is he good or not? A slightly below average game put’s him at #20.

  22. J.J. McCarthy (MIN) - 45.5 - After a slow start, including a bad pick 6, J.J. finished off hot with two fourth quarter touchdowns and a big time win.

  23. Justin Fields (NYJ) - 44.6 - Fields’ Jets debut was spoiled late and his passing game was slightly lacking. Going forward, I am expecting a good season out of Fields.

  24. Dak Prescott (DAL) - 43.1 - After starting hot, this game turned around quick. Dak looked solid but with only 188 yards and no touchdowns, he did not fare well in the RQI

  25. Russell Wilson (NYG) - 39.7 - I’ll spare the Giants fans. Watching that game was enough pain for one sitting. Serious question though - how many Giants QBs do we get in the RQI this season?

  26. Joe Burrow (CIN) - 39.5 - What were we doing Joe? Almost losing to the Browns. I am expecting this to be his worst game of the season.

  27. Bryce Young (CAR) - 39.1 - I feel bad saying it, but can we be done with Bryce? He is sitting watching fans on the jumbotron when down two scores.

  28. Jalen Hurts (PHI) - 39.1 - We don’t care about your rushing stats… 152 yards and 0 TD is not going to cut it in the RQI

  29. C.J. Stroud (HOU) - 36.1 - Did Stroud play? Under 200 passing 0 touchdowns and an interception. This was not the Stroud we all remember from two seasons ago.

  30. Sam Darnold (SEA) - 32.4 - The 2024 RQI legend was no where to be found on Sunday. He only had 26 yards passing to receivers not named Jaxon Smith Njigba. That is crazy!

  31. Cam Ward (TEN) - 29.8 - Bright future, but a tough defense to face in your first game in the NFL. We are expecting big things out of Cam this season.

    Sorry Dolphins Fans

  32. Tua Tagovailoa (MIA) - 28.6 - A founding member of the RQI! Bad.

  33. Zach Wilson (MIA) - 12.3 - Worse
