Friday 11/28

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone! There are no NHL games on Thursday, so we will preview games for Friday this week.

Flames @ Panthers - Sam Bennett and Matthew Tkachuk have been seminal pieces to the Florida Panthers’ back-to-back Stanley Cups. Who did the Panthers get these players from? The Calgary Flames.

Lightning @ Red Wings - This is a matchup that may matter come April as the two top teams in the Atlantic division search for an important two points in the Motor City.

Rangers @ Bruins - We all know the Rangers can only play on the road, and the Bruins may be the surprise of the year with how well they have been playing. Shoutout to this original six matchup

Avalanche @ Wild - This may be the matchup of the weekend as two red-hot teams face off in the State of Hockey on Friday night.

Kings @ Ducks - The Anaheim Ducks have a one-point lead in the Pacific Division over the Kraken and Kings. This matchup will be key for the Ducks to get back on track and keep their divisional lead.

Devils @ Sabres - With Jack Hughes out, the team USA scouts will focus their attention on Tage Thompson (Buffalo Sabres) in this matchup with his team-high twelve goals.

Canadiens @ Golden Knights - The Golden Knights have underperformed a bit this season, but one player who has been impressive has been goaltender Akira Schmid. The 25-year-old goaltender is an impressive 9-1-3 this season.

Flyers @ Islanders - With all the attention on rookie phenom Matthew Schaeffer, it has taken away from the incredible season that Islanders forward Bo Horvat has been putting together. Horvat has 14 goals and 11 assists through 23 games to lead the team.

Senators @ Blues - The Blues have won just one of their last six games. As they come off a road trip, maybe being at home around the Thanksgiving holiday can get them back on track.

Canucks @ Sharks - Macklin Celebrini is a must-watch this season with his 34 points, landing him in second place in the league.

Jets @ Hurricanes - The big news around Winnipeg is the injury sidelining last year’s most valuable player, Connor Hellebuyck. The Jets goaltender was also the starter for Team USA in last year’s Four Nations Faceoff.

Maple Leafs @ Capitals - What record will Alex Ovechkin break next? Will the Maple Leafs ever turn it on this season?

Penguins @ Blue Jackets - Injuries to Marchenko, Werenski, and Olivier will be the focus for Columbus fans around Thanksgiving this year. Can the rest of the Blue Jackets lineup step up for the home fans?

Predators @ Blackhawks - The Predators have struggled this season, taking an 8-3 loss to the

Mammoth @ Stars - The Dallas Stars just unveiled their ‘99 classic jerseys to pay homage to their old logo. Let’s see if that’s enough to get past Logan Cooley after his 4-goal night on Monday.
